Using the ARRI-style 8mm 4-post system, the KONDOR Blue 114mm Back Clamp is an easy add-on to any of the KONDOR Blue Matte Box System kits. All adjustment knobs are captively contained for peace of mind and ease of use. This means no more bent lens clamp tightening rods, lost hardware, or basic clamps that you see from other matte boxes on the market. The lens cuff is nested inside a housing which is mounted by 8 bolts to stay firmly in place. Those bolts are then covered with a light-absorbing felt to keep unwanted reflections at bay.
The 114mm Back Clamp also introduces a dual bearing system that snaps into the KONDOR Blue Lens Thread Adapters and Compression Rings. The inner diameter also prevents both the lens adapters and the 114mm barrel lens from being installed too deep, protecting your filter glass.
Finally, a completely novel direct mount solution has been added to the clamp allowing all KONDOR Blue Matte Box Hoods to be installed directly to the Back Clamp. This provides an ultra-lightweight and slim solution when every gram/ounce counts.
